Around the corner, just up the street from where I'm staying, is this grand vista. Not bad, eh?
Soft afternoon light...I arrived Saturday about 5:30 pm Austin time, 3:30 pm Arizona time.
Just a few hours later, after check-in...I found that this was the view from my parking lot! And I could just peak through the trees from my balcony, to glimpse a bit of the red glow.
Dramatic skies to go with the evening glow.

I'm so overwhelmed at the thought of painting this...I can't decide if I want to pull out my pastels or just keep shooting. I opt for a few more pics of the sunset and head over to town for dinner.
