For 4-5 year olds, classes include, Outer Space Art...Castles, Kings and Queens...Art ABC's. Stay "tooned" in for Cartooning classses for 6-8 and 9-11 year olds.

Completed in Claudia Seymour's workshop last weekend. I don't usually like doing still life, but it's really good practice at seeing. I just let go and had fun on this one...and even enjoyed how it turned out. Sweet! I'll have to try my hand at more of these!

It was such a gorgeous spring day outside yesterday that I just had to paint my neighbor's tree. It had been calling me for the last few days and I wanted to get to it before the rains hit again. It was fun to sit outside and watch all the neighborhood activities from my driveway.

The Gala has been an Austin tradition since 1939. As the primary fundraiser for Helping Hand Home for Children, The Crystal Ball raises funds for the care and treatment of the children of the Home. I've donated this piece for their silent auction. I hope it finds a good home to help provide a good home for the children!

Lake Worth Fall Foliage

I forgot to post this one from November 2009. Taking a respite from Thanksgiving's TV football, I went outside to paint the lovely fall in Lake Worth, outside of Ft. Worth, TX. Everyone ended up enjoying watching me paint, during commercials, and the homeowners asked to purchase the painting of their backyard.

It started out as a watercolor underpainting which I covered completely with pastel.

Peacock Burlesque

This is a quick pen and marker study from a life drawing session. A burlesque-style model, she sported a large peacock tattoo on her left leg and fan-like feather props...adding to her distinctive appearance.
