Giving your best to yourself and your painting will not always obtain the promise of progress. Some days we just need to take out the turp rag and erase the day's work, wash it off or throw it away and start again. After all, there's nothing more important than new beginnings!
Sometimes I just have to give myself permission to paint badly...in the hopes of discovering the magic of painting well!
